Burrell School is offering their lush Chardonnay for $20 per bottle.  Stock up for the Indian summer ahead!
Hunter Hill has 2007 Rock ‘n’ Rhone and 2006 Estate Merlot on sale for $10.00 per bottle. Chef Sid is cooking both days and will  serving up tri-tip, beans and bread for $10.00, $5.00 for wine tasting.
Loma Prieta is offering the 08 Saveria Pinot (reg $50) on sale for $45, and the 07 Cab (reg $50) on sale for $45.
Poetic Cellars has summer-fresh Chardonnay and Viognier, two for $40, plus small plates of delicious pates and cured meats for pairing, $5 per plate.

To create the allure of a trip to the Rhone Valley with no need for a passport or an airline ticket, the Summit to Sea wineries will hold the first annual “Roamin’ the Rhones” celebration, to be held August 21 and 22. Each winery will pair one of their signature Rhones with specially selected cheeses and delicious cured meats. This is the perfect time to get acquainted with perfumey and floral Viognier at Loma Prieta, Mourvedre at Poetic Cellars, and a cornucopia of different styles of Syrah at Burrell School, Hunter Hill and Vine Hill. Poetic Cellars Platate Pleasures – Aug 7, noon – 5pm

The Poetic Cellars “Palate Pleasures” series begins this weekend, August 7, 2010. Featuring delectable pleasures for the palate combined with poetry to warm the heart and soul. Come Wine, Dine & Rhyme with us in a beautiful, sunny mountainside location, just minutes from the often foggy Santa Cruz Coast. Palate Pleasures premieres with Passion for Pinot and Poetry this Saturday, August 7, from noon til 5pm. Come taste the Poetic Cellars 2008 Pinot Noir, crafted by winemaker Katy Lovell from Santa Cruz Mountains fruit, paired with delectable grilled balsamic glazed chicken sliders with fresh berry salsa, available for purchase from Chef Desiree.

Loma Prieta Winery features the newly released 2008 Saveria Pinot Noir, an old world Burgundian style expression of the varietal that emphasizes complex earthy flavors and cran-raspberry tanginess. At only 13% alcohol. this might be the Pinot you’ve been longing for! Get the last of the 2008 Viognier while it lasts, and enjoy the rich smooth chocolate finish on the Merlot.
